KES has strong economic and social connections in sub-Saharan Africa. KES also has its own minerals mines and exclusive management control over several mines (gold, diamond, etc.) mainly in western Africa. These mines contain in-ground assets of precious and semi-precious minerals. They also contain above ground assets. In the USA, KES has partnerships with coal miners. This Division is key component of KES asset base moving forward.
